Park to Park Trail Association Board Meeting
The Park to Park Trail Association held its quarterly board meeting on Thursday, September 21st, in Orrville.  I was unable to attend due to prior commitments.  On the Agenda under Old Business, items included an update on office and parking, the Trail Ambassador Program, Historical Signage, Strategic Planning and 2018 Events and Sponsorships, and more.  Financial reports were received.  The next meeting is scheduled for November 2nd in Sprucedale.

Belvedere Heights Board MeetingBelvedere Heights Home Monthly Board Meeting
The Belvedere Heights Home Monthly Board Meeting was held Wednesday morning, September 21st.  I was unavailable for this meeting as I was out of town on a personal matter.  Items from the CEO Report and other Agenda matters include the following.  There is a Resident Survey Satisfaction Survey being undertaken at this time with results expected by the end of this year.  So far the returns are expressing plenty of positive remarks from both residents and the families of residents.  Parry Sound Community Support Services has launched a new web site.  Please check it out at http://www.parrysoundsupportservices.ca/site/home and avail yourself of plenty of information and interactive components.  The board has decided to renew an older practice of forwarding board minutes to the supporting municipalities in an effort to keep the area in touch and well informed of the business, events and activities at Belvedere.

Wendall Condolences to the Family of Wendall "Wink" Fisher
I would also like to offer my sincere condolences to the Fisher family on the passing of Wendall.  At our last meeting we said goodbye to Gord Adams, and this week we say goodbye to Wendall also known as Wink!  Both men have contributed to the Parry Sound Area in many ways and have made a positive impact.  Folks like Gord and Wendall will be missed and their contributions to our town and area are their legacies.  Wendall was very active with the Parry Sound Area Active Transportation committee and with the 8-80 Cities Committee.  To Barb and family, please accept our deepest sympathies.
