Councillor McCann Meeting Report (March 21, 2017)

Belvedere Heights Human Resources Committee Meeting
On March 9th, 10:00AM I attended an HR Committee Meeting at Belvedere Heights tending to various matters.  Then on Wednesday morning, the 15th, Belvedere Board members got together to interview candidates seeking a provincial appointment on the board replacing Dr. John Cochrane.  The Ministry of Health and Long Term Care will select one of the candidates, and at some point our board will select a permanent Chair.  We all felt very excited about the caliber of each of the candidates.


West Parry Sound District Museum & Parry Sound Victory School Commemorative Project
On Thursday, March 10th, I had the privilege of dropping into the West Parry Sound District Museum to hand over the reins of the Parry Sound Victory School Commemorative Project.  I would also welcome this opportunity to remind everyone that the Museum will take orders for additional units (the book and DVD set).  The units were sold out and people should keep in mind that a shorter production run will result in a slightly higher cost per unit.  Contact the Museum for details.  Go to http://museumontowerhill.com, or call (705) 746-5365.  You may elect to e-mail the Museum, This email address is being protected from spambots.
