Grand Re-Opening of the Parry Sound Public Library
On Friday, April 15th, I attended the grand re-opening of the Parry Sound Public Library.  The event was well attended.  The library certainly continues to be a vibrant and vital part of our community.  Congratulations to all involved.

West Parry Sound Refugee Program
Sunday evening, April 17th, the West Parry Sound Refugee Programm (WPSRP) fund raiser held at the Stockey Centre was a huge success.  Thank you to everyone who came out to support this cause.

Although I sit on the Refugee Program committee, I was not available Sunday evening, but was pleased to hear of its success.  The organizers involved with this event want to thank all the committee members who worked so hard at pulling this together and also extend a big thank you to all the performers who gave so generously of their time, and we would be remiss if not to send out a big thank you to the staff at the Stockey Centre for being so helpful and accommodating.  Finally the the West Parry sound Refugee Program Committee sends out a thank you to the Town of Parry Sound in partnering with us, providing monies to cover the costs of the centre!  And last but not least, thank you to all the people who came out to the event.  I understand the silent auction went very well and many who came threw a few extra dollars in the jar.  Once again, you!!


Parry Sound Area Industrial Park Board Meeting
There was no Parry Sound Area Industrial Park Board meeting this month as there was no new or existing significant matters for the Board to deal with.
